Prof. Dennis McLaughlin will give an overview of food security issues, including connections between food, land, water and climate. This will include what is happening in the field at MIT and beyond. This session will provide important background and resources for MISTI students doing food and environment internships around the world.

Prof. McLaughlin is the H.M. King Bhumibol Professor of Water Resources Management in MIT’s Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. His current research interests include agriculture, water resources, real-time control for environmental applications, and game theory.
