Thanks to the generosity of Dr. Chikara Hayashi, the ULVAC-Hayashi MISTI Seed Grant supports new collaborations between faculty and research scientists at MIT and their counterparts in Japan.

Through an annual call for proposals, the ULVAC-Hayashi MISTI Seed Grant primarily supports travel costs for exchange between a team at MIT and colleagues in universities and public research in Japan. Priority will also be given to projects in science and engineering. The maximum award is $30,000.

The ULVAC-Hayashi MISTI Seed Grant is a part of MISTI Global Seed Funds. All general MISTI Global Seed Funds criteria, application and evaluation procedures apply.
