Marco is the MISTI MIT-Brazil Program Assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He works alongside the MISTI team in supporting the MIT-Brazil Program Managing Director Rosabelli Coelho-Keyssar, with the goal of firmly connecting MIT and Brazil through research, teaching, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

Marco grew up in Brazil and moved to the United States for college. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in International Relations from the University of Massachusetts Boston.

Following a history of working with Brazilian nationals at the General Consulate of Brazil, Marco is passionate about applying principles and concepts related to international relations, human rights, and foreign affairs in a professional or educational setting.

He has belonged to several different volunteer organizations throughout the years, helping fundraise, advocating for, and supporting refugees and immigrants communities. Through his community and activist efforts, he has also helped bring public awareness to significant local risks to public safety and environmental health.
