The MIT Sloan Latin America Office Seed Fund supports new collaborations between faculty and research scientists at MIT and their counterparts in Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Peru

The MIT Sloan Latin America Office Seed Fund promotes and supports early-stage collaboration between faculty at MIT and their counterparts in Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Peru. The fund was created through a partnership between the MIT Sloan Latin America Office and MISTI GSF.

Through an annual call for proposals, the fund primarily supports travel costs for exchange between a team at MIT and international colleagues. The international colleague(s) must be identified in the proposal. One grant of up to $20,000 will be awarded.

Priority will be given to projects that:

  • propose a balanced exchange between the MIT and Latin America participants
  • demonstrate complementarity between the MIT and Latin American teams
  • include student participation

Note: The MIT Sloan Latin America Office Seed Fund is a part of MISTI Global Seed Funds general fund. All MISTI GSF general fund criteria, application and evaluation procedures apply.
