The MIT Sloan Latin America Office Seed Fund promotes and supports early-stage collaboration between faculty at MIT and their counterparts in Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Peru. The fund was created through a partnership between the MIT Sloan Latin America Office and MISTI GSF.
Through an annual call for proposals, the fund primarily supports travel costs for exchange between a team at MIT and international colleagues. The international colleague(s) must be identified in the proposal. One grant of up to $20,000 will be awarded.
Priority will be given to projects that:
- propose a balanced exchange between the MIT and Latin America participants
- demonstrate complementarity between the MIT and Latin American teams
- include student participation
