Marco is the MISTI MIT-Brazil Program Assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He works alongside the MISTI team in supporting the MIT-Brazil Program Managing Director Rosabelli Coelho-Keyssar, with the goal of firmly connecting MIT and Brazil through research, teaching, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
Marco grew up in Brazil and moved to the United States for college. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in International Relations from the University of Massachusetts Boston.
Following a history of working with Brazilian nationals at the General Consulate of Brazil, Marco is passionate about applying principles and concepts related to international relations, human rights, and foreign affairs in a professional or educational setting.
He has belonged to several different volunteer organizations throughout the years, helping fundraise, advocating for, and supporting refugees and immigrant
s communities. Through his community and activist efforts, he has also helped bring public awareness to significant local risks to public safety and environmental health.
