"Much of my work included running SQL queries on various data sets. This returned figures and graphs detailing information such as whether or not a feature was working or what was an optimal choice for the company. I gained a lot of experience debugging and reworking code this past year at school, and it helped a lot when I would get stuck on a task. I was also more familiar with the Python scripts the company used than I thought I would. I had a little bit of SQL knowledge before starting my internship, but I learned a lot more very rapidly while working. I also found it really useful to be able to see how a tech/data-based startup was run, and the fast-paced environment taught me to adapt quickly and work collaboratively with other teams."
