Amanda was born and raised in Malaysia. She moved to Boston in 2019 with her husband Kai, who’s doing his PhD in global health. She received her Bachelor’s in Journalism and Broadcasting in a dual program at the University of the West of England, Bristol, and Taylor’s University in Malaysia. After graduation, she worked for a publishing company before moving to the U.S. where she has managed marketing and communications for the United Planet Organization since early 2020. She enjoys watching good TV series/K-dramas! She also picked up baking during the pandemic and learned how to ride a bike. In her free time, she does dog walking, boarding, and cat sitting--she used to live with four dogs and three cats!
