Sami Jitan is a Palestinian-American but considers himself a global citizen. Born in Saudi Arabia and raised in the southern United States he graduated with a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology (with honors) from Rutgers University in 2011. After graduating Sami worked as an arts & lifestyle journalist in Amman, Jordan. He then moved to Boston (where he has lived for the last 10 years). During that time Sami co-founded two award winning start-ups t Harvard and MIT. 

Sami spends his free time volunteering as a mentor for the MIT Sandbox Innovation Fund, guiding first-time entrepreneurs in the US and Morocco. Sami also enjoys kayaking on the Charles River.
