Collin's Story

Computer Science and Engineering student, Collin Lung '26, interned at Peckish AI in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

"Pecksh AI is a startup looking to revolutionize the restaurant industry by focusing on improving restaurant inventory management. They are using computer vision to drastically speed up the inventory stocktake processes for restaurants so that they can have more real-time and accurate inventory tracking."

"My project focused on developing the first mobile app for the company. Mainly all videos and photos have to be taken on the phone and uploaded through WhatsApp, which is clearly inefficient and not really customizable. So my project involved designing the UI/UX of the app and then actually writing the code and maintaining the app. After the minimum viable product, I received valuable feedback from current customers of PeckishAI in order to reiterate and improve upon the overall design and flow of the app."

"I will never forget the memories and people I made during this experience, and it definitely has shaped me to become such a different person. Traveling abroad and experiencing a new culture is such an important thing to do for everyone, especially learning how to live by yourself and take care of yourself. The lessons I learned here are way different from college, and I look forward to life after to college."
