MISTI's internship programs in Argentina, Chile, Mexico and Spain require four semesters of university-level Spanish courses or equivalent proficiency. Students who have taken the AP Spanish test in high school often test out of the requirement. Contact MIT Global Studies and Languages to determine your Spanish level.
Occasionally, MISTI offers short-term programs in Spanish-speaking locations without a language requirement. There is no requirement for MISTI's Global Teaching Labs programs in Mexico and Spain over IAP.
