Daniel's Story
Physics major Daniel Lobelo '27 interned at Instituto Technológico de Buenos Aires (ITBA) in Argentina in the summer of 2025. He was redesigning a robot, called "Alpibot," to follow patients that have lung complications with an oxygen tank during physical therapy.
"This experience allowed me to explore a new field of robotics. It was a fairly spread-out project, without a large focus on one specific task. This allowed me to try a little bit of each field, which guided my choice of future career. Out of all the tasks, I learned that I don't enjoy manufacturing and liked dynamics quite a bit. Therefore, I now wish to pursue a career as a "dynamicist". I joined the Vehicle Dynamics team on the motorsports team for this year, which will be a good opportunity to explore this further."Daniel Lobelo '27
