Sruthi evaluated and advised on Enel’s approach for designing rural microgrids, by assembling a best practices report covering technical, economic, and social recommendations that she learned from various interviews, visiting the two microgrids, production sites, calculating two cost-benefit analyses, and reviewing the documentation in Spanish.

"I had the privilege of visiting many of Enel’s renewable energy sites. I visited the only geothermal plant of South America, one of the largest solar plants of Chile, a wind farm, two microgrids, and saw fuel cell batteries. As a mechanical engineer and clean energy nerd, this was one of the most educational and exciting parts of my trip"
