Varsha's Story

This was such an invaluable experience, and I got to experience different cultures and lifestyles throughout study abroad  and travelling to new places. It took me a while to get to the directness of Northern Europeans, but having a host family really helped me see the day to day life as a Dane. I think this influenced me  to just be curious even in familiar environments  because I never know what I  could learn in my own community about  the people around me.  If I could do this again, I would probably make more efforts to know Danish students at the local universities by going to events or volunteering more at the Studenterhuset.
