The MIT-UK Program taps into this vital research landscape, creating new and lasting connections between faculty and students at MIT and their counterparts in the UK. In tandem with MIT’s Innovation Initiative, MIT-UK creates opportunities for faculty and students to learn together from and foster the UK’s thriving innovation environment. MIT students experience UK research and technology first-hand through internships in leading companies, universities and research institutions. Teams of faculty and students at MIT and the UK collaborate to tackle research problems and common challenges thanks to seed fund grants.
MIT President L. Rafael Reif and Imperial College President Alice Gast signed the agreement Monday afternoon at MIT, officially launching the MIT-Imperial College London Seed Fund. An initiative of the MIT Office of the Provost and Imperial College London, the MIT-Imperial seed fund is administered by MISTI.
