Welcome to MIT-Denmark

Known as the happiest country in the world, Denmark is a country where members of the MIT community can discover a new way of thinking. The MIT Denmark program brings together the great minds of MIT with Danish innovators in the fields of life science, sustainability, and technology, among others. The goal of the program is to increase the collaboration between MIT and Denmark by making connections between Danish companies, research labs, universities and talented MIT students and faculty, bringing valuable benefits to each party involved.

In addition to sending MIT students and faculty to Denmark for internships and research, the program raises awareness of Denmark within the MIT community. MIT Denmark students participate in training on Danish culture and work-life, and events about innovation, technology or policy in Denmark are hosted for the entire MIT community. Students who participate in MIT Denmark return to MIT's campus as ambassadors for their host institutions, as well as the country in general.
