UTEC Ventures is a VC in Peru located in and partnered with UTEC, but they invest in startups outside of the university and all around South America. This summer I facilitated the partnership between companies to create a new startup, counseled an entrepreneurship program at another university, created a list of digital tools entrepreneurs can use to help their journey (from ideation to prototyping) and spent the last few weeks creating a webapp with UTEC Ventures personal data for a chatbot.
This experience taught me how to teach myself to make/do anything. It showed me I can have a larger impact in a country that it still developing and made me realize I would love to return to my home country (Dominican Republic) one day.
