Grant's story

Grant Lee, a graduate research assistant at the MIT Center for Energy and Environmental Policy Research, interned at ReNew, one of India's largest renewable energy company. He had the chance to dive into India’s evolving energy markets and contribute to meaningful, real-world work.

"I conducted regulatory and market research on the newly opened ancillary services market and wrote a report to help ReNew understand how to optimize its participation in grid frequency regulation. Seeing how a major renewable energy company operates from within was incredibly valuable and strengthened my passion for sustainable development and energy policy."

“I was absolutely blessed to have been sat next to the kindest and friendliest coworkers. Living in a beautiful, rising country like India and seeing how a large renewable energy company operates from within was incredibly valuable. I genuinely enjoyed every second of my time in India. This enriching experience fortified my love for sustainable development and renewable energy, and I know I’ll use it for good in the future.”
