Haley's story

Biological engineering major Harley Carroll '26 worked on the product development and R&D teams for a drug delivery device in London, UK. At such a pivotal moment in her life, she took the summer to reflect on her personal life and career goals and is open to returning to the UK for grad school or even moving there temporarily.

"Calla Lily Clinical Care is a women's health medical device company developing Callavid, a vaginal drug delivery device. I worked between the product development and R&D teams to produce Callavid samples for upcoming clinical trials and to begin early microbiome research for the product's next use case. During my time, I helped freeze the design, produced over 4000 samples for the clinical trial, and began formulations for bacterial delivery."

"This experience affirms my goal to work in a women's health-centric company. It also affirmed that I enjoy a smaller company and work environment where I can get to know people deeper, making my work more enjoyable."
