Kailey Epstein '27

Kailey Epstein, Computer Science and Engineering (6-3), interned at the University of Bristol with Dr. Kyle Keane, a Senior Lecturer in the Computer Science department. Her primary internship project was creating a mobile app that performs object and text detection to enhance micro-navigation and environmental awareness, particularly for blind and visually impaired users.

" This was truly the most impactful summer of my life, from traveling abroad for the first time ever to diving into assistive technology research at the University of Bristol -- I couldn't have asked for a better two months of transformative opportunities, both professionally and personally. From Amsterdam's canals to Bristol's street art, my camera roll is full of the countless, unforgettable moments that I will always look back on with a smile."
