Sean's story

Sean Huckleberry '26 (in grey hoodie), an electrical engineering and computer science major, interned at Matillion during the summer of 2024, his first "real" software engineering role outside of previous UROP positions.

"My personal project involved working closely with another MIT intern to develop MICo, the AI-powered Matillion Internal Copilot. Our project had a broad specification but generally involved creating a Slack-integrated chatbot that could query internal company data and provide other productivity tools to boost the engineering team's efficiency. I worked closely with the AI team at Matillion and the Developer Experience team, who were the project's main stakeholders."

"This was my first time truly living on my own. I learned to be more proactive at meeting people at my company, the gym, and just out and about. I think it's a really valuable skill to just be willing to talk to new people, and it makes for some of the most exciting experiences."
