Passports

Every student needs a valid passport. The passport must be valid for six months after your departure date from Dubai. 

If you are a US citizen and need to apply for or renew your passport, routine service requires 4-6 weeks. If you need to renew your passport, you should do so ASAP.

Visa

• Citizens of certain countries can obtain a visa on arrival at Dubai International Airport. The duration of stay and eligibility for visa on arrival vary by nationality. Please visit this website to check if you will need a visa. Ensure you are able to get a visa upon arrival. If you are not eligible for a visa upon arrival, be in touch with the MISTI Program Manager about securing your visa. 

  • Tourist visas are typically valid for 30 days and can be extended for an additional 30 days. Extensions may incur additional fees.
