Encouraging synergistic global research through funding and support

Faculty

MISTI helps faculty create exciting new connections by supporting early-stage collaborations between researchers at MIT and peer institutions abroad.

Over 70% of MIT faculty members have applied for MISTI seed fund grants, and over 1000 grants totaling nearly $22M have been awarded.

What Is MISTI?

MISTI is how MIT does global. We work across the Institute to make immersive international experiences possible for students and faculty.

Faculty Funds

Our Global Seed Funds (GSF) grant program brings faculty and researchers together to explore areas of research and projects that might benefit from greater international collaboration.

The collaboration has been nothing short of amazing. We have many students fully engaged on the project from both sides, with multiple PIs and a couple high-end papers on the docket.
