MIT Global Partnerships Fund
The MIT Global Partnerships Fund supports research and collaborations between MIT faculty and their counterparts abroad with a focus on particular countries or regions. In 2018-19, projects in Africa, Latin America, India and Korea will be funded.
Africa
The MIT-Africa seed funds promote and support early-stage collaboration between faculty and researchers at MIT and in Africa.
Belgium
The MIT-Belgium seed funds support budding collaborations between faculty and research scientists at MIT and their counterparts at UCL and KU Leuven in Belgium.
Brazil
Through an annual call for proposals, the funds primarily support travel costs for exchange between a team at MIT and colleagues in universities and research institutes in Brazil.
China
The MIT Greater China Fund for Innovation supports budding collaborations between faculty and research scientists at MIT and their counterparts in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Colombia
Through an annual call for proposals, the funds primarily support travel costs for exchange between a team at MIT and colleagues in universities and research institutes in Colombia.
France
The MIT-France Seed Fund, a $2 million endowment funded equally by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and MIT, supports budding collaborations between faculty and research scientists at MIT and their counterparts in France.
Germany
Seed funds support new collaborations between faculty and research scientists at MIT and their counterparts in Germany.
India
The MIT Global Partnerships Fund supports research and collaborations between MIT faculty and their counterparts in India.
Israel
The MIT-Israel – Ben-Gurion University of the Negev Seed Fund supports budding collaborations between faculty and research scientists at MIT and their counterparts in Israel.
Italy
Through an annual call for proposals, the funds primarily support travel costs for exchange between a team at MIT and colleagues in universities and research institutes in Italy.
Japan
Thanks to the generosity of Dr. Chikara Hayashi, the ULVAC-Hayashi MISTI Seed Fund supports budding collaborations between faculty and research scientists at MIT and their counterparts in Japan.
Korea
Through an annual call for proposals, the funds primarily support travel costs for exchange between a team at MIT and colleagues in universities and research institutes in Korea.
Latin America
The MIT Global Partnerships Fund, along with several location-specific funds, support research and collaborations between MIT faculty and their counterparts in Latin America.
Mexico
The MIT Global Partnerships Fund supports budding collaborations between faculty and research scientists at MIT and their counterparts in Mexico.
Peru
MIT-Peru Seed Funds support new collaborations between faculty and research scientists at MIT and their counterparts in Peru.
Spain
The MIT-Spain Seed Funds support new collaborations between faculty and research scientists at MIT and their counterparts in Spain.
Turkey
The MIT Boğaziçi University Seed Fund supports new collaborations between faculty and research scientists at MIT and their counterparts at Boğaziçi University.
United Kingdom
The MIT-Africa - Imperial College London Seed Fund promotes and supports early-stage research collaboration between faculty at MIT, Imperial College London and institutions in Africa.
