MISTI GSF general fund is open to projects in any country with priority consideration for proposals from Africa and Latin America.
Africa
The MIT-Africa - Imperial College London Seed Fund promotes and supports early-stage research collaboration between faculty at MIT, Imperial College London and institutions in Africa.
Belgium
The MIT-Belgium seed funds support budding collaborations between faculty and research scientists at MIT and their counterparts at UCL and KU Leuven in Belgium.
Brazil
The MIT-Brazil Seed Funds promote and support early-stage collaboration between MIT, Insper and Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein in São Paulo, as well as other educational institutions throughout Brazil.
Chile
The MIT-Chile Seed Funds support budding collaborations between faculty and research scientists at MIT and their counterparts at Universidad Adolfo Ibañez and Universidad de Santiago de Chile.
China
The MIT Greater China Fund for Innovation supports budding collaborations between faculty and research scientists at MIT and their counterparts in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Colombia
The MIT-Colombia Universidad de los Andes seed fund supports new collaborations between faculty and research scientists at MIT and their counterparts at Universidad de los Andes in Colombia.
France
The MIT-France Seed Fund, a $2 million endowment funded equally by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and MIT, supports budding collaborations between faculty and research scientists at MIT and their counterparts in France.
Germany
Seed funds support new collaborations between faculty and research scientists at MIT and their German counterparts at Lockheed Martin, Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, University of Regensburg and University of Stuttgart.
India
The MIT – IIT Ropar Seed Fund supports grants of up to $30,000 for early-stage international collaborations between MIT and the Indian Institute for Technology Ropar (IIT Ropar).
Israel
The MIT-Israel Zuckerman STEM Fund, the MIT-Israel – Lockheed Martin Seed Fund, and the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev Seed Fund support budding collaborations between faculty and research scientists at MIT and their counterparts in Israel.
Italy
Through an annual call for proposals, the funds primarily support travel costs for exchange between a team at MIT and colleagues in universities and research institutes in Italy.
Japan
Thanks to the generosity of Dr. Chikara Hayashi, the ULVAC-Hayashi MISTI Seed Fund supports budding collaborations between faculty and research scientists at MIT and their counterparts in Japan.
Korea
The Jae S. Lim MIT-Korea Program seed funds support new collaborations between faculty and research scientists at MIT and their Korean counterparts at KAIST.
Peru
MIT-Peru Seed Funds support new collaborations between faculty and research scientists at MIT and their counterparts at the Universidad de Ingeniería y Tecnología (UTEC) in Peru.
Spain
The MIT-Spain Seed Funds support new collaborations between faculty and research scientists at MIT and their counterparts in between faculty and students at MIT and their counterparts at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and other universities and research institutions in Spain.
United Kingdom
