How to make an appointment

  • Select “Nueva Tarjeta
  • When the pop-up appears regarding data protection “Información sobre Protección de Datos,” click “Cerrar
  • Validate your Identification
    • Where it says “Tipo de Documento” - choose “Pasaporte
    • Where it says “Código ISO” select USA or your country’s code (Note:  the listing for the USA is found with countries beginning alphabetically with the letter E)
    • Correo electrónico”- enter your email
    • Phone number is not required
  • Selecciona si deseas una cita individual o múltiple:  Select  if you want one appointment or multiple
    • Select “Individual”
  • There are several options to selecting the appointment.  It is suggested to select by date
    • Select “Iniciar busqueda por fecha
  • A pop up box will appear.  Open the “fecha” calendar and select the date you would like to go to the metro office.  You can only select 1 month in advance.
    • After you select the date, open the dropdown “Selecciona una oficina” – Select an Office
    • Atocha and Sol are the most centrally located (metro and train stations)
    • Click “Buscar Cita Previa” – Search appointment availability
    • Pay attention to the date at the top of the list
    • Appointments are every 10 minutes, choose a convenient time
    • Scroll to the bottom and select “Confirmar selección” – confirm selection
  • On the next screen, the “Datos de la cita” – appointment details will appear.  The date, time, and location, along with a map of where the station is located
    • Scroll to the bottom and select “Confirmar cita” – confirm appointment
  • Guardar resguardo de cita” – Save your confirmation receipt. You should also receive an email. 
    • The TTP card will cost 4€ plus the amount for the monthly pass.
