Arriving in Mexico

Customs and Immigration

  • You will enter as a tourist
  • Depending on airport and citizenship:
    • Go through automated process
    • Go through an immigration officer
  • Present: Passport and FMM Form and if applicable US student visa (given in the airplane or upon arrival)  Need address in Mexico
  • Occasionally show proof of return
    • 180 Days (or less)  – Check how many days they give you
  • If you go through and Immigration officer will give you part of the form  DO NOT LOSE IT . You will need to present when leaving Mexico. Keep it in your passport.

Getting from the Airport

  • If you will be getting picked up, make sure to get a phone call in case your flight is delayed/cancelled.
  • After picking up luggage work with a purpose
  • If you are not being picked up, take an authorized AIRPORT TAXI
