Packing Tips

  1. Don't put all your valuables in one place!
    • Keep spare cash and credit cards in several locations
    • Always keep the most valuable items on your body (in pockets, sling, sleeve) if you take them out of the house, apartment, etc,
  2. Leave some extra room in your suitcase for items you will buy while there and and want to bring back
  3. Put functionality first! Make sure all your essential items fit somewhere comfortably and are easy to access. With whatever room is left, add "wants"
  4. If you plan to do day trips or side trips, have another backpack that is the right size to bring on those trips
  5. Remember the liquid limit! Don't put many/any liquids in your carry ons, they will be thrown out
