Applications are open for Summer 2021 on the MISTI Portal. Please complete Steps 1-3 before setting a meeting with program staff. Deadline to apply extended through February 1st, 2021.

Open to MIT undergraduate and graduate students, and recent alumni
Students must have a minimum of 4.0 GPA
Undergraduate students must take an MIT course on the Middle East/Israel
All students must attend all spring trainings
Undergrads and graduates are required to take 8 hours of Hebrew with a peer tutor, organized by MIT-Israel
Undergrads: One required course on Israeli history and culture in fall, IAP or spring before departure.
Graduate students: No course requirement, but ulture course reccomended.

Program expenses covered (includes airfare and a stipend to cover food and accommodation)
Once matched with a host, students must attend MISTI prep & training sessions and a checkout meeting with the program manager.

Group interview dates - Early October
Students will teach January 5 - January 30, 2020
Students must arrive in Israel at least 1 day before teaching, and leave on 2/1 or later
Lodging will be provided +-3 days for students who need it
Students must be available for every day of teaching
Students will teach for four weeks in January.
Teaching dates: 4 weeks, January 5 - January 30
Various tracks are available through MIT-Israel's GTL program, including:
Open to MIT undergrads, graduating seniors and graduate students in all disciplines.
GPA 4.0+
Prior teaching experience or teaching interest
No language requirement
Hebrew and Arabic speakers highly encouraged to apply
To prepare, students will learn Hebrew with a tutor on-campus for 6 hours
Program expenses covered (includes airfare and a stipend to cover food and accommodation)
Once selected to participate, students must attend Global Teaching Labs training sessions, a day-long retreat (November 11) and a checkout meeting with the program manager.
