Griselda Gomez is the Managing Director for the MIT-Mexico Program and the MIT-Colombia pilot Program. She is responsible for developing projects and building partnerships in Mexico and Colombia with MIT students, faculty, corporate partners, academic institutions, foundations, and government organizations. Griselda manages MISTI seed funds with Mexican and Colombian partners as well as the Global Teaching Labs Program.

Griselda also serves as MISTI’s Assistant Director for Health and Safety. In this role, she develops protocols, guidelines, and training for students and staff. She is also part of MIT’s high-risk travel committee as well as the Student Safety Abroad Team.

Prior to MIT, Griselda worked at an educational travel company in Mexico City as the Country Program Manager for the high school year abroad program. She was also in charge of starting and managing the au pair branch in Mexico. Griselda was then offered a position as the Operations Manager for Latin America at the company’s headquarters in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Griselda was further promoted to Tour Director and Operations Manager following her move to the States. Griselda holds a business administration degree from Universidad Panamericana in Mexico and is fluent in Spanish. She enjoys cooking, hiking, and being with her family.
