Justin Leahey is assistant director of Global Seed Funds and the managing director of MIT-Germany, MISTI Switzerland, and MIT-CEE Seed Funds. He has extensive professional experience in Germany, with additional engagement across Central and Eastern Europe, including Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary. He spent almost a decade living and working in Europe—primarily in Germany, with time in Austria—and is now based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he works closely with universities, companies, and government organizations to foster collaborative projects across the region. Before joining MIT, he worked at Harvard Law School and at the University of Freiburg. He holds a BA in international relations and German studies from Tufts University and an MA in international relations from Humboldt University of Berlin.
