Megha serves as the Program Manager for MISTI India/South Asia program. With a background in international development, Megha brings a wealth of experience in field research, project management and student and community engagement. Prior to joining MISTI, Megha worked at MIT’s D-Lab for almost a decade where she created and implemented research plans for needs assessments, market assessments, technology evaluations, technology adoption, and behavior change interventions in developing countries. 

Megha is also a trained facilitator with experience designing and implementing training and capacity building workshops on research and participatory design topics around the globe. She has organized and led several experiential learning trips to India and Africa, delivered lectures in MIT classes, and mentored students on their projects.

In 2021, Megha was awarded MIT’s Office of the Vice Chancellor’s (OVC) Infinite Mile Award for spearheading D-Lab’s DEIB taskforce and drafting their first ever DEIB strategic plan. 

Originally from India, Megha holds a B.Sc. in Agriculture from University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad, India and an MA in International Development from Brandeis University. In addition to English, Megha is fluent in Hindi and Kannada. In her free time, Megha like to practice professional photography and be outdoors gardening, hiking, camping etc.
