Midday Music at MIT Open Space
Spend your lunch break grooving with BatucadaMIT, an informal Brazilian music and arts ensemble. BatucadaMIT is newly formed. It aims to foster community and joy through the rich world of Brazilian music and the lively traditions of percussion and dance. The audience will be invited to participate in the performance.
BatucadaMIT was created in collaboration with friends from MISTI MIT Brazil, Portuguese at MIT Global Languages, the MIT Brazilian Students Association, and MISTI Brazil alumna Talia Khan. The group is led by contemporary percussionist, educator, and Brazilian native Marcus Santos
