Read the interview below with Amena to learn more!
How do you get to work? How do you get around in general?
NIC sends someone to drive us to work and back. In general, I use Pathao (similar to Uber) to get around and on rare occasions use public transport.
What is your work/internship like day-to-day?
Every day is different. I work with the Ed-Tech team, helping to create physical models for teaching chemistry, giving tours of NIC to students, and researching alternatives to 3D printing for making the models.
What is an aspect of your work that you're excited about?
I'm excited to create a model from start to finish -- ideation to production and get to know everyone on my team. My teammates are really nice. We went on a picnic together.
Have you visited any new/exciting places?
I went to Kathmandu Durbar Sq., Chandragiri Hills, and Manjushree park.
Have you tried any new foods you enjoyed or seen anything new?
I tried different kinds of Nepali foods, from momos to mustang potatoes, but my favorite is the traditional Dhal Bhat. I also like cooking with my flatmates.
