MISTI provided me with the wonderful opportunity to gain valuable work experience in the Dutch architecture and urban planning firm, MVRDV. It was exciting to immerse myself in a new context, culture, and career opportunity that I have longed to partake in for a long time. I worked on two different projects: a large scale architecture development and an urban research project. My MISTI experience will surely influence my path at MIT as it sparked my interest in urban planning research and analysis, opening my eyes to new opportunities. I learned a lot about the architecture and design field in the Netherlands, encountered numerous inspiring people from all over the world, paid visits to several revolutionary architecture projects and art exhibitions, and polished my topics of interest and career prospects.
