How do you get to work and how do you get around in general?

Within Delhi, I love riding the metro — it's super convenient, has great air conditioning, and is much better than sitting in traffic. When metro isn't possible, I usually take auto rickshaws or Uber. I was also able to ride on Kanpur's new metro system and am looking forward to the opening of the new lines!

Have you visited any new or exciting places?

I visited a number of smaller cities and towns within a 1-2 hour drive from Kanpur, like Kannauj — known as the perfume city of India. Kannauj is famous for the production of ittar, a natural perfume or essential oil made of flowers, herbs, and other materials.

Have you tried any new foods you enjoyed or seen anything new?

In Kanpur, I was introduced to Badnam Kulfi, a local destination for Kesar Pista Kulfi. Kulfi is a traditional South Asian ice cream made with saffron, pistachio, cardamom powder, and other ingredients. With temperatures reaching 109° F during my first weeks here, kulfi was a great way to cool down after a long day!
