Teaching
GTL students are matched with foreign high school hosts for three weeks in January. At each location, students prepare tailored courses on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) subjects that complement the school's curriculum and highlight MIT's hands-on approach to education. Subjects taught, style of teaching and type of accommodation vary by country.

Program timeline

Oct: Pre-selected students are invited to interview shortly after application deadline.

Nov - Dec: Students selected to participate will attend pre-departure trainings.

Jan: Most GTL programs take place during the last three weeks.

Feb: Students attend a mandatory re-entry session upon return.
